Riley Burruss just got a life-changing early Christmas gift: an acceptance letter from New York University.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Peacock and the Bravo App.

Kandi Burruss shared the big news on Instagram on December 16, announcing: "My baby got accepted into #NYU!!!!! I am so proud of @rileyburruss!"

The Real Housewives of Atlanta mama then talked more about the exciting news — and Riley's impending move to the Big Apple — on her YouTube Channel

"I know everybody was all tripping when you had your apartment in New York," Kandi said, referring to the time that her daughter was interning with a lawyer in the Big Apple... but that doesn't mean that another $5,500-a-month pad is in Riley's immediate future.

"When she was doing her internship... she had to set up her own housing, and that's how she ended up having an apartment," Kandi said. "But this time, you're going to actually have to have a dorm."

Riley added, "Yeah, I'll be in a dorm, don't worry, guys! I won't be in an expensive apartment. I would love to be, though! But yes, I'll be in a dorm." When her mama asked her if she's ready for that, Riley said, "No... mm mm."

And even though she's uninterested in moving back in with her family after college, Riley's still not ready for her mom to redo her room. "We're gonna keep my room the same," she told Kandi. Watch the video below to hear the mother-daughter duo dish.
