Kandi Burruss’ Husband, Todd Tucker, Explains Why He Stopped Drinking Alcohol

On the August 7 episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Todd Tucker shared three fun facts about himself as the group arrived for their vacation in Jamaica: “I’m a Leo, I’m a vegetarian, [and] I don’t drink.”

In an interview during the episode, Todd opened up about why he decided to cut out alcohol for the time being. “Before I stopped drinking, I probably drank pretty much, I would say, three to four times a week,” he shared. “So, I think it was time that I needed to give my body a little detox. This is a cleanse for myself. And when I’m ready to go back to drinking, I’m gonna get back to drinking. Shots for everybody.”

It seemed during the episode that the alcohol cleanse was going more smoothly for Todd than a very different cleanse he attempted with Kandi Burruss last year. “I decided to do the Revenge Cleanse, and [Todd] said he was gonna do it with me,” Kandi shared in an Instagram Story at the time. “We [are] only doing the [three]-day cleanse — we said we [were] gonna start off small. And he’s already ready to quit!”
