After her iconic Malibu home was destroyed in the Woolsey Fires late last year, Camille Grammer is moving on in 2019… literally! The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills newlywed may be hunkering down in a glam Malibu trailer right now, but she’s in the midst of renovating a new home that is directly atop the beach. Camille recently gave us a tour of the still-under-construction property, which has insane ocean views and is perfect for entertaining. (Watch the video above for the full tour!)
"I purchased this home over two years [ago] as an investment property," Camille told Home & Design. "I always dreamed of having a house on the beach. Since my home was lost in fires me and my family will move in soon. It will be my home. We are very excited. It was built in the fifties, [and] it was renovated in the 80’s. And I’m renovating it now."
How much work is Camille doing to the propety? Pretty much everything! "I’m keeping the origins structure and design," she revealed. "I did have to redo many structural support beams. Updated the HVAC. Walls, floors, bathrooms. I added reclaimed redwood and stucco to exterior walls. All new electrical... it’s basically a new house."
During the tour Camille was excited to show off her new kitchen, bathroom, and closet, but it was pretty clear what drew her to the new home: That view. “Voila, look at this, you can’t beat the beach and this spring, when the sea life comes out, we’ll see the sea lions on the beach, the seals, the dolphins, the whales, it’s spectacular,” she said, while standing on a patio overlooking the Pacific. “This is why I chose to purchase a house on the beach.”
You know what they say: The beach life is the best life, and Camille will be embodying that motto very soon, since the home should be ready in about two weeks! Be sure to tune into the RHOBH premiere on Februrary 12 at 9/8c.
