Denise Richards Just Proved You Can Plan a Beautiful Wedding in 2 Weeks: See the Decor Details
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills newbie pulled off her big wedding day in the best way possible.
When most people get engaged, they usually pick a date 12 or 18 months away — minimum! Not Denise Richards, though. As we saw on last night’s episode, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills mom and her fiancé, Aaron Phypers, were ready to seal the deal much, much sooner than most: two weeks, in fact! While it might seem impossible, Denise went ahead and blew our freaking minds by pulling together a stunning oceanside wedding for 40 guests at Cypress Sea Cove in Malibu.
“Most people plan a wedding six months, a year, two years out, and here we are a few days before our wedding,” said Denise. “What needs to happen for us to pull off the wedding — first off we need a place to get married, we need catering, we need flowers, music, and a couple other things.”
And RHOBH consummate party-thrower Kyle Richards agreed, adding in her confessional, “I’m so curious what kind of wedding you can pull off in… two days? Where’s the dress? The food? The flowers? The people? How are you going to do this?! What’s going on in my head right now is a disaster.”
As anyone who’s ever planned a wedding knows, there are hundreds of little details to consider (Seating charts! Programs! Vows!), but Denise seemed to take it all in stride, and she managed to pull off a gorgeous affair… even without a rehearsal! OK, maybe she was running an hour or so late, and maybe the guests were a tinge overheated sitting in the direct sun, but still, she pulled it off!
Listen up, brides everywhere: Take a note from Denise’s page and remember not to sweat the small stuff and keep your wedding day all about one thing — your marriage!
Let’s take a look at Denise’s beautiful wedding details, shall we?
The Venue
Held at the Cypress Sea Cove in Malibu, the storied venue is located off the Pacific Coast Highway, overlooking the ocean.
The Ceremony Seating
Denise and Aaron said their vows in front of an infinity symbol that The Hidden Garden made out of roses. The couple married on the 8th of September, which was a must for Aaron, who practices numerology. (The number eight is an infinity symbol when turned horizontally, which is especially lucky for wedding dates.)
The On-Site Artist
Denise hired an artist to paint what the scene looked like as it was happening — best party idea ever!
The Transportation
Denise and Aaron arrived in style, thanks to stretch Lincoln limousines.
The Cocktails
Prior to the ceremony, waiters handed out lemonades with fun striped paper straws.
The Cake
Naysayers, take note: Denise was able to commission a gorgeous, three-tiered wedding cake for her big day with little notice!
The Bouquets
The Hidden Garden worked the event’s pink-and-white color palette into the bridal party’s bouquets, which were a lighter, softer shade of blush.
The Music
Ever the original, Denise had a DJ play heavy metal to escort her down the aisle. “This isn’t your typical ‘here comes the fucking bride,’” Denise said while laughing during the episode.
Well, there you have it, folks. A gorgeous wedding can happen with little preparation!
