The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave recently gave us a tour of her Los Angeles digs, and it’s just what you’d expect: a sleek and modern compound completely open to the outdoors, with breathtaking views across L.A. straight out to the Pacific Ocean. But before you watch, a word of caution — it will take you deep into California dreaming mode.
Teddi and her husband, Edwin, purchased the home last year. Carved into the side of a mountain in the Hollywood Hills, the manse has five bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms and features the expansive, main floor living space we all want so badly these days. “This room is completely open,” says Teddi, showing off the combined kitchen, dining, and living space, “so the kids can be hanging here, I can be cooking, and Ed can be working at the dining room.” On the home’s main level, floor-to-ceiling sliding glass pocket doors open to panoramic canyon views that seem to go on forever. “And I mean the view is really my happy place,” admits Teddi. “If you feel a little stressed all of a sudden you walk out here, take a couple breaths, and you’re good to go.” We’re saying om from here.
The generous-sized bedrooms open up the to glass-railed decks and that view. But the home’s pièce de résistance is the patio with a built-in swimming pool. “One of the great features about this house is no matter what room you’re in you have access to the patio,” says Teddi, pointing out the foosball and ping pong tables, along with a bull-riding pool float and outdoor TV for movies under the stars. “Really, I can’t get enough of our pool. It’s kind of a dream come true out here.” It definitely is.
