Kyle Richards may be ahead of the curve when it comes to this trend. On September 17, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills pal hit Netflix's Emmys party in an emerald-green, satin dress with a ruffled neckline, and — wait for it — shoulder pads. And, the whole 1908s-ness of the trend wasn't lost on her. But, could the look be so 2019 as well? Let's dive in:

To caption a photo that showed her posing with Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave before the bash, Kyle wrote: "Looking forward to spending the evening with [Teddi Mellencamp] & my shoulder pads." She added two hash tags that spelled out: "The '80s are back," and "Dynasty throwback." Take a look at the dress, below:

Kyle looks amazing, clearly — but that didn't stop Teddi from poking gentle fun at her dress choice. During an Instagram Live chat that she filmed on the way to the Netflix party, Kyle said: "I got a little bit of heat for the shoulder pads, but I heard the '80s are back so I decided to go with it. And then I thought: I'm going to look at the Emmys and see on the red carpet ... but there was not a shoulder pad to be seen." Ever the supportive friend, Teddi added: "She's on trend, though — she's ahead of the game."

So, is this an old trend or a new trend? You decide! And in the meantime, lets' all agree that that shade of green looks amazing on the RHOBH mom.
