Party People

BH Producer Dave Rupel admits that even the crew had an amazing time at the White Party.

Happy 2011 and welcome back! I hope you all had some fun with friends and family over the holiday. This week's episode is chock-full: Cedric explains his history as a child; Camille invites Adrienne and Kyle over for some tennis and pool fun; and it all winds up at Kyle and Mauricio’s annual White Party. Oh and, Mauricio winds up shirtless. Twice!!

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Bravo Tuesdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

Before I get to your questions, there are two things I want to point out. First, out of all the spectacular things we did this season, from being courtside at an NBA game, to attending the opening night of a Broadway musical, to the gorgeous and elegant dinner party at Mohamed's 55-million dollar mansion, nothing made me want to stop working and join in the fun more than the White Party! Everyone was having so much fun (well, except for Taylor and Russell), the decorations were gorgeous, the music rocked, and everyone dressed in white was such a blast!

Here's a photo of part of our crew, also decked out in white.

BH crew at the white partySecondly, I want to point out the background music that our two composers, Alan Lazar and Mike Biardi, wrote and recorded for us. One of the Evolution Executive Producers, Douglas Ross, always likes to say that he wants the music in our show to feel like it's scored like a movie, And I think Alan and Mike (and our editors who place the music into the show) did a fantastic job of making Doug's goal a reality. I'm mentioning the music in this episode because of one moment in particular. When Taylor decides to leave the party early (after Russell already left) and she's standing alone at the curb, we created an awesome juxtaposition of the rest of the party attendees having a fantastic time, while Taylor cries in her interview about wishing she and Russell could have that kind of fun in their marriage. The natural sound of the party fades away as the beautiful and very melancholy music cue builds in volume.

It's one of my favorite moments of the season. I tip my hat to Alan and Mike and to editor Blake West for creating that stunning sequence that still brings a tear to my eye when I see it.

Now, on to answering your questions!

Question: Danielsan52 loves Kim and Kyle and wants to make sure they are in Season Two.

Answer: We're still working on Season One, but we all love Kim and Kyle, too!

Q: TaminOhio thinks I was crazy to state that there is no consensus in who is right in the Camille and Kyle feud.

A: Tamin, you are correct that the majority of fans out there seem to be Team Kyle. But I have seen a decent amount of Team Camille fans out there as well. Q: Curious J thanked me for my blog and thought it would be a good idea to do a whole "behind-the-scenes" episode, where various members of the crew are interviewed.

A: Bravo's never done a "behind-the-scenes" on a Housewives show, however, in 2004, I produced a show for VH1 called Bands Reunited, where we tracked down members of defunct 80s bands and tried to reunite them for one more concert. (The show happened to also be produced by Evolution Media, which produces RHBH.) We did exactly what Curious J talked about – and did a behind the scenes episode, which the fans seemed to really enjoy.

Q: Viewer wants to know what's in the fancy bags the ladies receive at fancy events?

A: Usually, it's some products of companies that are sponsoring the event. At Lisa's fundraiser in the last episode, there were Epione skincare products, a company that she's closely associated with.

Q: Miamics thinks we should put dates on the various scenes so, for example, we could know how long a Camille scene happened before her divorce announcement.

A: We do that on a rare occasion. You'll actually see it in episode 112, next week.

Q: Curious in Hawaii wants to know if Lisa and Ken own any restaurants in London.

A: Lisa and Ken owned 26 restaurants and clubs in London at one point. But today, they only own the restaurants Villa Blanca, in Beverly Hills, and Sur, in West Hollywood (which is where they dined for Pandora's birthday).

Q: What? asked exactly what is this reunion show he keeps hearing about?

A: At the end of every Housewives season, they gather together with Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen (who is also an executive at Bravo) to discuss the entire season. We just filmed our reunion this past Tuesday, January 4. Pasha heard online that the reunion was "explosive" and wondered if that was true. Pasha, here's a hint: there were plenty of tears, even more arguing, a lot of laughter, and one moment of anger that was so intense it shocked us all! (One final hint…the person who got angry is the last person you would expect!) Part one of the Reunion airs, Thursday, January 27 and part two airs Tuesday, February 1. Q: Iwrks wants to know the name of Lisa's rosette dresses is?

A: The designer of Lisa's dresses with rosettes is Christina Makowsky. Lisa visited her showroom in episode 106 when the ladies traveled to New York.

Q: Carol Erwin and Melvilyn believe we altered episodes after their first airing.

A: Sorry, viewers. We don't alter episodes for reruns, because it's too cost prohibitive. As for your specific examples, as I've stated many times before, we did not shoot the original argument between Camille and Kyle in Vegas. What you are probably remembering is Camille telling Lisa about her argument with Kyle while shopping, while at the same time, Kyle was telling her daughter, Farrah, also while shopping. We also were not shooting when Taylor told Camille the other ladies had discussed her being "insecure." You are most likely thinking of the Taylor and Kim conversation in the airport.

Q: Bessi wants to know what I think of Allison DuBois (Camille's' friend and medium, who appeared in 109), who is claiming she looked bad on our show all because of editing.

A: That's what every person who's ever appeared on a reality show and didn't like how they came off says. I've already referred to that episode as an instant classic, and I believe it is. I do agree with Allison that Faye helped kick the fight up to another level by accusing Allison of not telling the truth. But that's included in the episode. That's all I've got time for now. See you next week!
