Dorit Kemsley: Lisa Vanderpump Has a Clear Agenda
"... I don’t know how much more betrayal I can take from one person."
Hi Darlings,
Forgive me for being MIA these past few weeks. The events unfolding in recent episodes have left me speechless. Having gone through ups and downs this season with someone who I thought was my close friend then watching it all play back simply stirs my emotions and brings me back to a very unsettling place.
When I saw the Radar Online article, my initial thought was that the information had been supplied by Lisa V or her team because most of it was described in Lisa’s voice. What solidified my assumption was the fact that there are certain points addressed in the scathing article that only Lisa V and her team were privy to. For example, the article notes, “After the chihuahua mix nipped at one of her children…” Only Lisa V and her team knew that Lucy was a chihuahua mix, and it was Lisa V, who when I spoke with after Lucy went to her new home, described the situation as “Lucy nipping at the kids.” It was she who first used the word “nipping” regarding the situation. Need I remind you that on that same call, Lisa V was supportive of Lucy going to a new home as she never asked me to bring her back to the center.
I felt completely blindsided by the article because for one, Lisa V assured me she knew I meant no harm and two, we were getting along fine at Denise’s wedding. The part that really rattled me about the article were the nasty comments and threats to my kids that ensued after it was published. All the mothers out there will understand me when I say that when I felt like my kids were in jeopardy and being attacked, it shook me to my core and kept me up at night thinking how can I protect them from potential harm. Accusations were also made about me mistreating animals which, again, are completely false and posed a total character assassination. I love dogs, I grew up with dogs, and to think that anyone would believe otherwise due to a twisted story perpetuated by a foundation looking for attention is heartbreaking. Until this day I ask myself how Lisa V could intentionally allow her team to reveal such a demoralizing version of the truth about her friend when in fact she knew the truth.
Still, the worst part about all of this is that Lisa V didn’t bother to call me after the Radar Online article came out like a real friend should’ve. Her silence about the article crystallized the fact that there was a clear agenda. She called TMZ to invite them to her dog center to refute a story she never leaked? The whole thing reeks of propaganda and shows how adamant she was about benefiting from publicity at the expense of her friend. If this were an isolated incident and Lisa V hadn’t previously been accused of manipulating story lines and leaking stories then there would be a slight shadow of doubt in my mind but after all, she does have a track record. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
I can only imagine how hard it was for Kyle to confront Lisa V but I equally understand she felt the need to be honest and relay the consensus in the group despite her close relationship with Lisa. Kyle tried to help Lisa V out of a mess she created, and I respect Kyle’s courage for that. Lisa V’s reaction, however, was over-the-top and defensive. The entire scene spoke for itself and Lisa V’s true feelings finally slipped out when she said, “I’m not thinking of Dorit and that f---ing dog!”
I’m at a loss for words, and I don’t know how much more betrayal I can take from one person. I don’t hold grudges, but I’m also not quick to forgive for hurting my family to this degree.
Until next time,
Much love
xx
