My Sweet Amelia Gray,
To say I am proud of you is an understatement. You have far exceeded my expectations on every level imaginable and watching you blossom into the intelligent, confident, well-spoken woman you are today has been one of my greatest blessings in life.
I wish I could eloquently articulate just what it means to be your mom, but there are not enough words in the universe to describe the love and pride I hold for you in my heart. Since the moment I laid eyes on you, I knew you were destined to do great things, and every day since that beautiful day you were born has given me great joy and honor to be your mom.
You have taught me so much in these 17 years, Amelia, and I will be eternally grateful to you for that. Being your mom has reminded me to be more thoughtful, patient, kind, and full of love, because those are the beautiful qualities you radiate every single day, my sweet girl. But most importantly, you have reminded me what it means to be brave, to be raw, and to be honest, despite what others may say or think.
So, I thank you, Amelia Gray. I thank you for allowing that big, beautiful, bright spirit of yours to shine. I thank you for choosing me as your mom. And I thank you for just being you. Our special mother-daughter relationship means more to me than you’ll ever know.
You are wise beyond your years, and I know you are ready to fly high, baby girl.
I love you,
