Amelia Hamlin Is in “Shock” and “Awe” Over Reaching This Major Modeling Milestone
Lisa Rinna’s daughter gushed about a memorable experience she had during Paris Fashion Week.
Amelia Gray Hamlin has been heating up the runways as of late. After walking in a slew of New York Fashion Week shows and rocking an edgy look for Giuliano Calza last fall, the daughter of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Lisa Rinna has reached her next big breakthrough: haute couture.
During the Spring 2023 couture show for Jean Paul Gaultier, Amelia strutted her stuff down the catwalk in a silver bodysuit and oversize matching shawl covered in French words including “liberté” (freedom) and “j’écris” (I write). The shawl had a light lime green underlay and covered a pair of tiny black shorts. The look was paired with black T-strap pointed-toe pumps.
Following the show, Amelia took to her Instagram to celebrate the modeling milestone, noting that she has long been “a fan” of the famed French designer.
“[Jean Paul Gaultier] was one of the first designers to catch my eye at a very young age… I cannot believe I walked this show… truly I feel so blessed,” she captioned the January 25 post. “Thank you for trusting me. This is huge. I love all of [you].”
“No but like I don’t think you understand how important this is [to] me,” Amelia wrote over a January 25 Instagram Story video of herself walking on the runway in the look.
She continued, “[You] can’t see my tears but .. I’ve been studying this [for] years .. I’m in shock. I’m in awe. Thank you.”
The model added a photo of presumably her personal collection of reads, which included a book on catwalking and several on Jean Paul Gaultier specifically.
Amelia continued to show more behind-the-scenes details in her Instagram Stories, including some close-up shots of herself in the very tight corsets worn in the show.
She also added a photo of the designer’s labeling of her place in the lineup (“Look 17”) to remember the meaningful moment.
