Paris Hilton is engaged! The heiress and pop culture icon shared the news of her upcoming marriage to venture capitalist Carter Reum on Instagram on February 17 along with a few snaps of the happy moment. Paris, the daughter of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' newcomer Kathy Hilton and niece to RHOBH vet Kyle Richards, said yes while celebrating her 40th birthday on a private island (naturally), where her fiancé presented her with a jaw-dropping diamond engagement ring.
"When you find your soulmate, you don’t just know it. You feel it," Paris mused in her caption. "My love & I have been together since our first date, and for my birthday, he arranged a special trip to [a] tropical paradise." But it wouldn't be a lavish proposal without an amazing sparkler. Luckily, Paris shared a detailed sneak peek of her massive, custom-made rock on Youtube for the world to see.
Paris' sizable ring is recreated in a stunning, hand-painted design by the Atelier of Jean Dousset caught on film. The impressive, emerald-cut center stone is flanked by two, smaller trapezoidal diamonds with petite diamonds throughout the ornate setting.
The ring, fittingly called "The Paris," has yet to make its Instagram debut.
