Diana Jenkins Explains the “Allergy” That Prevents Her from Shopping in Stores
The RHOBH newcomer revealed why she starts “swelling up” if she goes into a clothing store.
On the May 25 episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, newcomer Diana Jenkins shared, “I don’t go out shopping… I have clothes sent to my house by designers.” Although she didn’t explain her rationale at the time, she opened up about why she avoids stores on the show’s June 1 episode — and the reason is not what we expected.
As Diana got ready to go to Sutton Stracke’s party at her West Hollywood boutique, she was asked, “You’ve never been to Sutton’s store before, right?” to which she quipped, “I’ve never been to a store.”
After Diana’s stylist, Lia, chimed in, “I’ve been working with Diana for 13 years, I’d say. I don’t think she’s ever been to a store,” Diana was quick to explain her reasoning: “[It’s] because of my allergy.”
A bit confused? Allow Lia to offer more insight: “She’s allergic to dust, and she thinks that there’s too much dust in stores.” Diana added: “The thing is the chemicals, too. My eyes start popping out, and I really start swelling up.”
Although Diana did also go to Kyle Richards’ store opening (the “first” one she ever attended, for that matter), she rarely has a need to step foot inside a clothing store. “I shop at home,” she said in an interview. “Since most designers know my style, my taste, my size, they put aside things for me.”
