Dorit Kemsley Debuted a Darker Hair Color and We’re Obsessed
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills mom changed her hair color to a darker hue.
Over the years, Dorit Kemsley has given us some truly iconic hair moments. From making a cheeky nod to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills by rocking a massive diamond in a flirty updo to wearing a slick of golden paint on her head for a party to donning a sculptural braided style for the RHOBH Season 10 reunion, Dorit isn’t just ahead of the trends, she sets them.
Recently, the Beverly Beach founder took to her Instagram to show off another fabulous hair look: a rich bronde (a fusion between blonde and brown) hue.
“Love my new color,” Dorit captioned a February 18 post that showed three different angles of her sleek, straight hair, which kept some of her previous lighter blonde but added sandy and golden brown elements.
Dorit went on to share an additional view of her hair in a February 19 video that documented her “before” (in Fendi pajamas and a headband) and “after” with the new ’do and an equally sleek outfit: a blue button-down shirt, black sweater, and black slacks.
“When it’s gone it’s gone,” the mom of two captioned the post, referencing the sped-up version of Mariah Carey’s “It’s a Wrap” she was dancing to — and, of course, her former lighter tresses.
In the clip above, Dorit speaks candidly about her “ever-changing hairstyles.” While sporting a braided bun in a bright yellow Versace scarf, the Beverly Hills mom says, “I like to do things fresh. I like to choose my outfit and then decide what hair I think will go with it.”
Those decisions typically involve creative collaboration with her go-to stylist, Justine Marjan, who helped create the sleek style in the aforementioned bronde posts, as well as numerous other looks for Dorit. “She’s known me a while, and I know her capabilities,” Dorit says in the above clip.
Watch the video above to relive some of the fashion maven’s most memorable hairstyles — but don’t expect to find any simple styles in the mix. “I’m not exactly known for my subtlety,” Dorit points out. Truer words have never been spoken.
