Dorit Kemsley Just Bought Her Own Likeness From the Artist Who Renders Real Housewives Portraits in Food
Yes, Dorit's portrait is made with real Doritos.
Dorit Kemsley has made no secret about it: She likes snacking on Doritos. In fact, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills pal once joked that her fashion choices were starting to match the packaging on her favorite guilty pleasure. But does Dorit love the chips so much that she would frame them? The answer, as they say, may surprise you. But first, a word about artist Jason Mecier.
Mecier is obsessed with two of our favorite things: food and Housewives. And, lucky man, he's made a living combining the two. The artist uses food to create incredible likenesses of Bravo personalities and other celebs. (You can peep a whole Housewife-inspired gallery here.)
When Mecier decided to create a portrait of Dorit, he knew he couldn't complete the portrait without tossing in a few Doritos. Check out his work:
The most exciting thing about this portrait, though, is that Dorit herself bought it! This makes her a trailblazer of sorts. In his caption, Mecier wrote: "#dorit is the first/only #realhousewives to buy her own portrait." He added that he hopes viewers will soon get to see the artwork on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills — and boy, so do we!
