Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave Just Shared a Cringe-Worthy Story About Pizza Hut and Dating: “Beyond Mortification!”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills accountability coach wasn't always the super-fit woman she is today.
Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave has personally given us an intimate tour inside her fridge, with its inspiringly nutritious and pre-prepped contents. (Press play on the clip above ICYMI.) And it makes sense: Of course, as a professional accountability coach, Teddi is well known for her healthy eating, and a diet role model for others. But like her cast mate on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Kyle Richards, Teddi hasn’t always been naturally trim.
Her efforts to maintain a healthy diet at this stage in her life are just that: efforts. Hard work, and saying no to the foods that used to bring her joy… like fast food. And when she used to love fast food, she really, really loved it.
Consider this tale as Exhibit A. At the RHOBH and Mexican Dynasties joint premiere party in West Hollywood on February 12, The Feast asked Teddi to share her fast-food cravings. “You know, I’m not a big fast food gal anymore,” she told us. “But I used to be a Pizza Hut VIP and a Taco Bell junkie. Those were my two favorite.”
Record scratch. Pardon us, what? What is a Pizza Hut VIP?
Well, Teddi explained — and the story only gets better (slash worse).
“It was embarrassing — this was one of the first times I fluctuated weight, but I was on a date,” she told us. “I had an ex over and he was like ‘Oh, I want pizza,’ and I was like ‘OK, great.’ So we ordered it. And the guy — I’m not kidding — came to the door and he’s like, ‘Good news — you reached 100 pizzas this year, you’re a Pizza Hut VIP!’”
Teddi remembered wanting to respond that the driver had the wrong house: “Do you mind? Actually it’s the next door. It’s down the hall…”
The remembering was playful — but Teddi says she was horrified in front of her guy at the time. “Like so beyond mortification. I’m like, I may have ordered this a couple times… a few sides of ranch!”
These days, things are a bit different. As reflected in her user-fit physique, “No, I haven’t been back there,” recently, Teddi said.
