Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave is full of diet tips and inspiration for healthy living — from why she eats at the same time every day, to her hack for avoiding temptation when going out, to what she eats for dinner "9 times out of 10" to stay healthy, to the first thing she suggests consuming every day. And now The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills accountability coach is sharing what might be her simplest diet tip yet.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Peacock and the Bravo App.

Teddi recently invited fans to ask questions in a wide-ranging ask-me-anything session on Instagram, and one asked generally for some tips about the best way to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Naturally, that's a question that required a multi-pronged answer from Teddi.

She began, "Drink more water than anything else."

Beyond that, "Take some time every day to do something active and/or for you."

And here's the kicker when it comes to a fast track to a healthy diet — a simple rule to understand, if not an easy one to follow: "When home and you are able to prepare your own food, cut out anything processed." Preparation is key — hit play on the clip above to watch Teddi talk you through how she does it at home.

Last, Teddi advised the good-sense rule: "Remind yourself — it's a lifestyle change, not a diet." Words to live by — and ones echoed by Teddi's fitness-minded RHOC counterpart Tamra Judge.
