When it comes to my style, I wear things that suit me, and I feel like trends from the ’60s really accentuate my body — I’ve always liked my clothes tighter up top and then flared at the bottom. I just love feminine, soft clothing that shows your curves but leaves a lot to the imagination, so you’re not just putting it out there. This is why I’m obsessed with the character Miriam "Midge" Maisel’s style from the Amazon Original series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

How to Watch

Catch up on The Real Housewives of Dallas on Peacock or the Bravo App.

Mrs. Maisel plays with color a lot, which I love. I feel like when you brighten up your outfit with color, it creates a totally different mood. I love that it’s very lady-like, but also playful. I love that she wears a lot of hats, too. They’re amazing!

I remember one time she wore a hot pink jacket with a dress that goes down below her knees and she had these darker pink gloves on with a pillbox hat — I think it’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.

In fact, a lot of the trends I’ve seen on the show are things I love to wear in real life. Here are a few retro-inspired looks you’ll find in my wardrobe.

Gingham

I think having a pop of gingham makes something seem really sweet and playful — I love that. In the ‘60s, they weren’t afraid to play with colors and patterns.

Pencil Skirts

I love pencil skirts. I feel like they very much accentuate your curves. You can pair a button-up shirt with them, you can dress them up and down. They’re always very flattering.

Tea Length Dresses

I really look for tea-length dresses whenever I have an event. I feel like they’re very lady-like, especially if you’re going to a lunch or an interview because you can sit and you’re not showing everything that the Lord gave you. I also think that the dresses come at a length that looks good on everyone.

Collared Wool Coats

Oh my gosh! First of all, they are so chic. You can wear these coats with anything. I find that they can really dress up a casual outfit as well as complement dresses.

Black Turtlenecks

I have like 20 black turtlenecks in my closet! I think a turtleneck is something everyone should have because it's very clean and you can wear it with anything. You can layer it under a sweater, you can pair it under a jacket, and it looks really chic. I love in the wintertime to do a little wool skirt, a black turtleneck, boots, and then a really colorful scarf. I think it just looks effortless.

Watch the new season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel only on Amazon Prime Video.
