Brandi on the #RHOD Finale: We Laughed, We Cried, We Complained
Brandi talks renewing her vows, the Byron Nelson party and her "priceless" BFF Stephanie.
First, I want to say that the victims and families of the tragic Orlando shooting are in my thoughts and prayers…God Bless the victims and families and I hope you all will pray with me.
Secondly, thank you all so much for watching The Real Housewives of Dallas. The love and support that you all have shown has been tremendous and brought me to forever, grateful tears. This experience has been surreal and all in all and I am so glad I did this journey and opened up my life for you all to have an escape and laugh. I am humbled and honored that you allowed my life to be in your hearts and home.
Okay, so I must admit leaving Austin was a little uptight, however, I still had fun on the bus ride home to Dallas. Everyone was quiet but me. Imagine that…LOL. I was just ready to be home with my family and get back to my normal routine.
Bryan and I are doing great and communicate more than ever. The girls and I now travel with him on trips and make it a fun family vacation while he is on the road for work. Bryan and I renewed our vows in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico on the beach. Bryan rented a gorgeous home right on the water for our closest family and friends. It was magical and what I loved most is that it was intimate. Our first wedding was huge and our vows were straight from the Bible and this time our vows were from our hearts and the things we want and need from each other to make our marriage work. I really do love this man and the happiness he brings to my heart.
The Byron Nelson is a fun annual golf event at The Four Seasons Las Colinas resort and golf club. It attracts everyone in the Dallas Ft. Worth area. Travis and Stephanie host a party every year and you don’t want to miss it. My husband and I usually go early and are the last ones to leave. I do know Travis was worried about LeeAnne coming to the event, which is funny. People are intimidated by Travis but he’s just a big teddy bear. Stephanie invited LeeAnne not wanting to leave anyone out and I think she did the right thing. However, the arguments between the ladies were no shocker at all. I just wished we could all get along for something. I was so over the petty BS and just wanted to have fun and so I did just that.
Stephanie and I chose to do this together to give us something fun to do outside of being a busy mom. I left my career being in business development for the DOD in Aerospace Defense, NASA, and Telemetry to become a full time mom after Brinkley was born. Being a mom is the hardest and best job ever but at the same time one becomes so selfless. This journey and opening up my life hopefully helps others and allows you to laugh at life, too. I always say that laughter is one of the best gifts you can give someone other than your love.
The best part of this experience was getting to do it with Stephanie. We have laughed, cried and complained a few times too. Having a friend that you can be yourself with and just let your hair down is a treasure. So if you have you a Stephanie, never let her go. I also want to thank Stephanie for her friendship, love, support, and the best times of my life have been lived with her. You are precious and priceless Steph, love you!
Once again, thank you all for coming to visit Brandi Land. I love you all and will miss you all dearly. A huge hug and air kisses to you all. May God Bless you and keep you and your families safe always. Prayers for Peace on Earth!
Blessings,
Brandi
