Joanna's Perfect Day
Joanna shares how she felt on the day of her wedding.
The bachelorette party was super fun, and as much as I was worried that Lea would have an awful time since she’s not into the club scene, she surprisingly ended up being the life of the party. Watching Lea with the strippers made my night! I couldn’t stop laughing, because I never thought Lea would be such a team player and go along with it. It made me see another side of Lea that I love.

It was too risky the way I planned it, and I almost missed my wedding rehearsal dinner, which could have ended up as a disaster. Luckily it didn’t and we made it thanks to Lea again... The morning of my wedding I woke up sooo happy -- the day I have been waiting over 6 years for had finally came. There was no more postponing and we finally made it a priority. I will admit planning the wedding in less than 3 months was definitely a challenge, especially since the wedding was taking place on the opposite coast at the Park Hyatt Aviara in Carlsbad. LA is where my home is and where my heart will always be, so I couldn’t imagine marrying anywhere else. I was blessed to have the most amazing wedding planners, Jessica and Chris, from Sybarite Designs. They totally understood my vision. I emailed them about how I wanted my wedding to look and without a doubt they were on the same page with me and made me feel at ease. If I didn’t have them and if I didn’t have Saco from @petalsla, I have no idea how the wedding planning process would have ended up! I was stressed as it was since I wasn’t in LA to make sure everything was being handled in person, but Petals LA understood that flowers are my priority and that is how we ended up with over 20,000 of them for the wedding... Especially since the wedding took place on a Thursday, since that was the only day that was available at the Park Hyatt Aviara so last minute given that weddings are booked a year in advance. Romain and I wanted to make sure our guests were treated like royalty and were able to enjoy the amazing location, but we also wanted to thank them with customized gift bags, which we dropped off in every guest room to show them how much we appreciate and love them.
I have never felt so happy and at ease as I did the day of the wedding, because I was finally marrying the man of my dreams. I wanted everything to be perfect, and the most important thing for me is to make sure I am on time so my guests are not disrespected and they don’t have to wait on the bride to be. I don’t think I have ever danced so much in my life and I have never laughed or smiled so much as during my wedding day. Seeing everyone that I love so much there meant everything to me, and being able to see my sister and Romain get along was all that mattered, since I know it’s been a rough year for them both. The speeches from my friends, my sister, and Romain were so heartfelt and loving, and I hope it proved to all the girls in Miami that I have some amazing, true friends and family members that have been in my life for many years, who truly love me and Romain and know what kind of people we are. I am proud to be Mrs. Krupa-Zago and now we can slowly start planning the little Krupa-Zagos…
