Update on Elsa

Marysol is happy with Elsa's recovery thus far.

I was really happy to see Adriana and Joanna bury the hatchet. I have always felt as though they could be friends, they just need the opportunity to get to know each other on a deeper level.

After two and a half months in the hospital, mom finally comes home. I asked Alexia to come help me cleanse the house of any negative energy so that mom could come home to a fresh space. The Buddhist card reader had recommended we burn sage, sprinkle holy water around the house, and add fresh flowers (preferably mom’s favorite). After mom’s accident we had an outpouring of flowers, visits, and phone calls from friends all over the world. It wasn’t until one day that my father said to me have you heard anything from your mom’s friend Lea that I realized, “Oh wow no we haven’t heard a peep.” Subsequently two plus months passed by and we never heard from Lea. I wasn’t upset about it, but then again I did find it quite strange and actually quite rude and in poor taste.

The journey of my mom’s brush with death has been an agonizing experience that today still tortures me emotionally. I often go to mom’s house and sit in her living room or walk around the house and try to envision her walking around laughing and being herself. I went to mom’s to flip through some old photo albums hoping to see her photos to remember her in better days. Unfortunately, looking at the photos just made me really emotional and made me miss my mom even more.

My father popped by with Napoleon which always brings a smile to my face. Dad seems really positive that mom will get back to her old self, so that gives me solace and hope. My parents were in the middle of a heated separation and divorce over the past few years, and it took the tragedy of mom’s health to bring them closer together. The one decent thing that came out of mom’s crisis was it brought my parents closer together.I was so happy to finally have mom home and settled with proper help to take care of her. She still has a way to go, but when I see her feisty spirit, I know she is on her way back to her old self. At this point I am pleased with her recovery thus far.[video_clip_url:http://player.theplatform.com/p/PHSl-B/yT7k3t_YLXoZ/select/kOH9_nwFyVQu?form=html]

As I mentioned I have never been a bridesmaid before and considering it wasn’t Adriana’s first time at the altar, I planned what I thought would be a nice evening -- just us girls drinking and giggling. I called hot Carlos the caterer to prepare some specialty cockies and delicious delectables before we headed to the night club. I’m not a fan of strippers and penis paraphernalia at parties, so this definitely was not going to be part of my agenda. Adriana decided to liven things up by burning her old wedding dress. It was an interesting idea and being in charge of the fire extinguisher was the best part of the whole experience. I recommend everyone squirting a fire extinguisher at least once in their lifetime, there is nothing like it.
