See the "Magnificent" Way Dolores & Paul Transformed Their House for Their Irish Party
RHONJ couple Dolores Catania and Paul "Paulie" Connell's Irish-themed bash included over-the-top decor, delicious food, and plenty of whiskey.
Throughout Season 13 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, viewers have gotten a look inside Paul "Paulie" Connell's house, where Dolores Catania now officially lives. While the home is typically decorated with sleek furniture and beautiful accent pieces, on Season 13, Episode 15, the couple transformed the jaw-dropping house for an Irish-themed bash — and Dolores' castmates were floored.
On Season 13, Episode 14, Dolores was talking about the recent 'Wives trip to Ireland, and she encouraged Frank Catania to "plan a trip." However, Paulie had a different idea.
"Why don't we have a f-cking Irish party?" Paulie suggested to Dolores. "Let's take it back to old Ireland, right? Just before Ireland really got on the map. So like a prohibition party." Dolores was on board, telling Frank, their kids, Gabby and Frankie, and Frank's girlfriend, Brittany, "I'm really excited for you guys to all come see where I live now."
Dolores and Paulie went all out for the event, which was shown on Season 13, Episode 15. "Paul's so proud of where he comes from, so Paul wants to bring Ireland to the boys because they did not experience it the way we did," Dolores explained in an episode interview. "We have Irish dancers, Irish whiskey, Irish singers. I'm like getting to sit back and let him handle everything."
"This is like my coming out party because I'm the woman of the house now," she added. "Now I get to show the whole crew my home and Paulie and I as a couple doing something together."
Although the night took a very dramatic turn, the group was still able to appreciate the stunning details of the event. "Now this is how to throw a party," Margaret Josephs said. "This is magnificent." Melissa Gorga added, "This is quite a party."
The party included multiple balloon installations (including one featuring the phrase "Up the Dubs"), stunning floral arrangements, and a variety of drinks and delicious bites. At one point, Dolores asked, "What's better than authentic Irish food?" and with that in mind, the couple served dishes including Shepherd's pie, bacon-wrapped Irish stuffing, and more.
Below, take a look at the details of the party.
