Yes, Frank Catania Is Still Living with David Principe & Dolores Catania Has Thoughts
The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member shared her feelings about her ex-husband still residing in her ex-boyfriend's house.
In March 2020, Dolores Catania shocked Andy Cohen on an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen when she told him that her ex-husband, Frank Catania, had moved in with her boyfriend at the time, David Principe. "They live together," she shared. "I don't live there. He's in David's house."
Although Frank planned on living with Dolores and their two kids in her house, which he spent more than a year renovating, things took a turn when Dolores began her relationship with Paul "Paulie" Connell. "I have a boyfriend now, and for Frank to be staying with me...it's like, enough," she explained during RHONJ's Season 12 reunion in 2022. With that, Frank didn't end up residing in the house with Dolores, and as he revealed in The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 12 After Show video above, he was back to living “mainly" at David's house.
More than a year later, Dolores gave an update on her exes' living arrangement, and, once again, Andy was floored.
Does Frank still live with David?
On Part 1 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 13 reunion, which aired on May 30, Teresa Giudice asked Dolores if Frank still lives with David, to which she responded, "Yes."
Clearly surprised, Andy asked, "Frank still lives with David?" Dolores nodded and replied, "Mhm."
"You respond to that as though it's normal," Andy said before diving into some questions about the arrangement.
"So, like, [Frank's girlfriend] Brittany sleeps over at David's house?" he asked, and Dolores explained, "Yeah, everybody's very good over there. You know what, to each his own."
Andy wanted to know, "Does he pay rent?" but Dolores said, "I have no idea what that setup is. I honestly don't."
How does Dolores feel about Frank living with David?
In defense of their living situation, Dolores reminded Andy, "Frank did build [David's] house." However, Andy replied, "I mean, someone built my house too. He's not staying with me."
Although the situation may be unconventional, Dolores sees no issue with it. "Listen, I'm glad that they stayed close and they found a friendship," she said. "I'm OK with that."
Does Dolores have plans to move?
Although Dolores recently moved into Paulie's incredible townhouse, she may be relocating again soon as well. On Season 13, Episode 15 of RHONJ, it was revealed that the couple is looking for a new home together.
Dolores defends her choice to move in with Paulie
As RHONJ viewers will remember, although Dolores designed David's house while they were together, she didn't want to officially move in until they were engaged. On the recent reunion episode, she explained why that wasn't an issue when deciding to move in with Paulie.
"The intention with Paul is very different," she said. "It's the intention behind things."
