"Does it bother you, David, a little bit that I'm doing my house? Because you think I'm not coming here?" Dolores asked David while having lunch in his newly-constructed house. David replied, "I know you're not coming here. I built you this house, everything you wanted, right? And now you're redoing your house."

Dolores was quick to explain exactly why she hadn't yet moved into the home they built together, recalling, "You said we're gonna get engaged when the house is done and then we didn't," before adding in an interview during the episode, "I don't have a ring on my finger, I'm still not moving in."

While the couple ultimately agreed to spend more time together at David's house, Dolores is still working on the major updates to her home — and it seems she's living alone during the process. “I’m by myself at the infamous shore house right now,” she shared on the February 20 episode of The Daily Dish podcast. "The house up north is being renovated. Stay tuned for that.”

Throughout the years, Dolores has always been open about her family's unique, ever-changing living situation. "I built the house with my boyfriend, David. Didn't move in," she said on the show's February 17 episode. "I live at my house with my ex-husband and then my son, Frankie, comes home from school during the pandemic and decides to study for his GMAT test ... Now my son lives in my boyfriend's house studying."

On the show's February 24 episode, Dolores explained that watching her parents maintain a healthy relationship while living apart showed her "that nontraditional relationships can work."

"They do everything a traditional married couple does, they just don't live together," she said at the time. "You know what? That works for them."
