See How the Giudice/Gorga Family Celebrated Nonno on His Birthday
Teresa Giudice and Joe Gorga honored their late father's memory with a delicious Italian spread and a cannoli cake.
Last year, Teresa Giudice's father — who's affectionately known as "Nonno" — celebrated his 76th birthday with a giant, Johnnie Walker-inspired cake. Sadly, it would be his last birthday celebration: The beloved family patriarch passed away a few months later, in April 2020. But when September 8 rolled around again this year, the Giudice/Gorga family didn't let the day pass without a sweet celebration in Nonno's honor.
In the days leading up to her dad's special day, Teresa commissioned a charcuterie board that was decked with framed images of him. And on the actual day, she invited her brother, Joe Gorga, and his family over for a casual pizza party.
In her Instagram Stories, Teresa showed off a pile of pizza decking the counter of her New Jersey kitchen. "[It's Nonno's] birthday; we're eating together, my brother and Melissa — look how many pizzas he got," she said. "I got dessert." But back to the savories: "Joe, you got a lot of pizzas — just saying," she joked.
In addition to the pile of pies, the family upheld a birthday tradition by ordering a lavish cake. Topped with cannoli, this gorgeous confection said "Happy birthday Nonno" on top.
