Joe Gorga Responds to Accusations He Faked His Before & After House Flip Photos
Melissa Gorga's real estate developer husband says his social media manager “made a mistake.”
In recent weeks, Joe Gorga has been giving us lots of design inspiration thanks to the heaps of home flipping content he’s shared to his Instagram account. While posting before and after photos of his projects, Joe's images demonstrate just how much goes into flipping a home — turning dated, dilapidated structures into million-dollar-plus mansions that pretty much everyone would want to live in.
But a recent post shared with his Instagram followers went sour pretty quickly, when a New Jersey woman realized the “after” photo was actually the brand-new home she and her husband owned. When Page Six got ahold of The Real Housewives of New Jersey husband, he was quick to explain what happened. Apparently his 21-year-old social media manager “made a mistake.”
Joe recognized that the two homes posted to his Instagram account were in fact, not the same. “It was a brand-new house, so it made me look even worse,” Joe said, agreeing with the woman that the house had never been flipped. But he also clarified that he had actually worked on her home. “I helped fund that project,” he said. “I’m a private lender. I did fund the deal.”
More to know about Joe’s business practices: “I don’t flip people’s houses,” he said. “I buy properties. I don’t deal with homeowners... because I am a famous guy and people overreact.”
