This Is What a Typical Sunday Looks Like at Kathy Wakile's House
The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum and her mother churned out homemade pasta and more in her Franklin Lakes kitchen.
For The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Sunday is the most appetizing day of the week. Cast members past and present have been known to hunker down in their kitchens and tend to the "Sunday sauce," offering tantalizing peeks of their progress along the way.
We've long craved a bite of Dolores Catania's mozzarella-stuffed meatballs, or Melissa Gorga's sausage-flecked marinara. And now, thanks to her latest Instagram Stories, Kathy Wakile has us obsessing over homemade cavatelli.
Filmed in her stunning Franklin Lakes kitchen on October 18, the Stories show Kathy and her mother "Nonni" rolling out fresh pasta dough on the marble island. "We're making homemade cavatelli — not the ones you buy in the store," Nonni proudly said. "The one that I make, I make with ricotta."
And she has some experience: In a later story, the Sala Consilina native shared that she'd been making the pasta dish since she was five years old. The food-filled afternoon also included short rib prepared in a homemade red sauce.
