Melissa Brought Teresa Sprinkle Cookies Again & It Led to a Moment We Never Saw Coming

The Real Housewives of New Jersey sisters-in-law celebrated Easter with a treat that has some dicey family history behind it.

By Jenny Berg

As we saw in the most recent episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Easter 2019 was bittersweet for the Gorga/Giudice clan. In the wake of Joe's second deportation appeal being denied — and Nonno struggling with his health — the family shed some tears while seated around the dinner table.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 premiere May 5th at 8/7c on Bravo and stream next day on Peacock.

However, there was still plenty of delicious food (think lamb, meatballs, pizzagaina, ham, and more.) And, thanks to some sprinkle cookies, there were also some moments of levity.

That's right: After the 2011 disaster that ensued when Melissa Gorga dared to bring store-bought cookies to Teresa Giudice's house on Christmas Day, the Envy Boutique owner returned this Easter clutching the contentious cookies yet again. But this time, things didn't devolve into a fight.

As she entered Teresa's house on Easter, Melissa — looking fab in a pink fur — said, "I brought you sprinkle cookies." Smiling wryly, Teresa said, "Oh, thank you! This is what I wanted! Oh my god!"

In her interview, Melissa shared, "There was definitely a time when Teresa and I could never joke about this. It's sad that it took all of these things that she's going through to get us to where we are, but there's a sliver lining to that. If this is what brought us here then fine, I'll take it."

Later, Joe Gorga pointed to the sprinkle cookies on the table, and made a sweet vow. "This family's been through a lot. Remember these sprinkle cookies, what they did to us? We will never let little things affect us ever again."

Then, he insisted that everyone at the table have a cookie — and he saw to it that Teresa herself took a big bite out of one. The verdict? "It's so good," Teresa said, laughing.
