Here’s Why Rachel Fuda Was “Kinda Happy” About Joe Gorga Waxing John Fuda at the Party

On the March 21 episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Melissa Gorga and Joe Gorga’s luau-themed party at their Jersey Shore house took an unexpected turn when Joe decided to wax John Fuda’s chest.

“He’s hairy, and I like to buzz. I buzz my body, you know, I buzz everything,” Joe explained in an episode interview. “So I can’t wait. He’s gonna look amazing.”

Rachel Fuda initially laughed as Joe started to put wax strips on her husband, but when he proceeded to use his bare hands covered in hot wax to remove John’s chest hair, she declared, “That’s enough.” Later, after seeing John’s very red chest, she said, “If we are not there at the brunch tomorrow at my house, it’s because I’m in the f--king emergency room.” 

In The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 13 After Show video above, Rachel explains her mixed feelings about the waxing experience. “He’s just recovering… John still has ingrown hairs,” she says. “He almost had third-degree burns, I swear to god.” Turning to Melissa, she explains, “Your husband was waxing the same skin multiple times.”

“I was kinda happy, though,” she admits. “Because I don’t like the chest hair, and I’ve been asking him to do that for a long time.”

The other RHONJ ladies also felt conflicted about the hair removal experience. “Poor John Fuda’s so drunk he doesn’t even know what they’re doing to him,” Margaret Josephs says in the clip. “To do a group waxing of basically a baby bear is barbaric.” Jennifer Aydin calls the moment “frat boy stuff,” while Teresa Giudice thinks it was “so weird.” 

However, Jennifer Fessler explains, “I don’t think that John minded,” and Jackie Goldschneider declares, “Hair grows back.”
