The RHONY Reunion Finale Was All About Luann Luann Luann
It may have seemed like a pile-on for a moment there, but we do get a happy ending for the RHONY ladies' friendship.
Call us exhausted. In one hour we go from Ramona Singer accusing Luann de Lesseps of “drinking on the side” to a resolution no one saw coming.
What a rollercoaster of a ride The Real Housewives of New York City reunion part 3 was, which featured lots of fighting with the newly sober cabaret star.
There was that dig by Ramona. There was a knock-down spar with Bethenny Frankel, who told Luann, “You’re not a great singer.” Barbara Kavovit told her, “You’re not Adele.”
But it still wasn't immediately clear (to Luann) that it was her selfish behavior that was upsetting the other ladies, and not an issue with jealousy. (For instance, Lu had no clue where Sonja Morgan’s daughter was going to college, while everyone else knew it was UPenn.)
There was a montage of Luann talking cabaret, making fun of Bethenny, and fighting with the ladies.
“What is it then, why do they not leave me alone about this cabaret show when they pick on it all the time?” Luann asked.
Leading Bethenny to ask her, “What did you just watch? What is the general thesis of what you just viewed?”
“You don’t pay any attention to us,” Ramona said. “That’s not cool.”
Luann explained, “I was trying to keep myself together and I didn’t have enough to give and I feel like I got attacked about my cabaret."
Despite all the bickering, the ladies all make up at the end. There were hugs and a sober toast.
“I wanna help you get to the finish line,” Dorinda told Luann.
“It feels really good to have my girlfriends back on my side,” Luann said.
Here's hoping the detente lasts... well, plus some peacemaking tips in case of another friendship break.
