Luann: Kristen's Problem Is With Timing, Not Intelligence

Cupcakes and sex toys…what do they have in common? Ask Sonja! I’m very happy that Sonja is putting her judgment behind her and moving on with her life. Having something that large hanging over your head has to be incredibly stressful. The girls looked like they had a great time at cocktails and cupcakes…yum!

Who doesn’t love shoe shopping? Kristen and I went to Belle to pick up some sandals for our upcoming trip to Turks and Caicos, and while there, we had a chance to catch up. I told Kristen that she’s going to have to give Bethenny time to warm up to her and not take it so personally when Bethenny blows her off. Rejection is hard, but banging your head up against the same wall over and over is even harder!

Carole’s admission to Bethenny that she had a sex dream about her was a bit strange considering they don’t know each other all that well. I can see how a bit of nooky would loosen Bethenny up, but I think she’s going to have to find her own way on this! At least Carole was honest that she stirred the pot when talking about Kristen’s Pop of Color nail polish brand. Why she would insert herself between the two of them is beyond me…I guess even cool girls can be all uncool!

Did We Go Downtown Julie Brown?

I invited the girls to my shoot, so they could see my collection up close and personal. Kristen looked amazing, and I had a lot of fun modeling some of my pieces. I thought having the girls there would bring positive energy to the shoot, and I was concerned when Bethenny got so upset over the Turks and Caicos dates. I understand why she wouldn’t want to be away from her daughter for 21 out of 30 days. As for her poking fun at me…if Bethenny doesn’t tease you, she doesn’t like you.

The Park Side Restaurant is a great reason to visit Queens. I loved the old-school Italian atmosphere, and since I spent many years in Italy, I felt right at home. Bethenny did a good job picking the spot, and the food was fabulous! Our dinner conversation was going along just fine as we discussed the exotic and out-of-the-way destinations we’d like to visit but then veered into treacherous waters when we began discussing Sonja’s problems. I told the girls that Turks and Caicos is not an intervention but a vacation! Sonja has to find her own way, and while I would never leave her alone in a club when she’s been drinking, I do think she has to solve her problems herself, and I’m hopeful she will. Maybe we are enabling her when we take care of her, but that is what friends do for each other. When the girls left me alone at the table, I realized that I’m fine alone, and I’m actually enjoying myself!

Is Ramona in Denial Over Sonja?

Launching a fashion line with family and friends is a dream come true, and I was glad both my children were there for me. William Randolph Hearst built the Warwick Hotel for his mistress Marion Davies, and she hosted many fabulous parties filled with the most iconic people in the world. It truly epitomizes what is intriguing about New York and was the perfect backdrop for the launch of my collection and the cover of New York Resident Magazine. It was only a matter of time before Ramona reared her Ramotional head, and I was surprised at her aggressiveness with Kristen. Kristen has a right to express herself wherever and whenever she wants. As for Ramona calling Kristen dumb…well, that’s just dumb! Kristen is very smart, and while she might be having a little difficulty getting on with some of the girls, her problem is with timing, not intelligence. Anyway, it seemed to fizzle out quite quickly. On a happy note, I was thrilled to see my good friend Carson Kressley who also has a line on Evine.com and who is always so supportive of my fashion career. He’s a class act, and he brings great vibes wherever he goes.
