Bethenny Looked Behind Her Washing Machine and Was Horrified by What She Found
"That makes me sick," The Real Housewives of New York City alum said as she surveyed the clutter.
When Bethenny Frankel took a peek behind her washing machine, she was horrified to find a wide range of household items. "There is a bunch of stuff behind my washer so I'm taking tongs to get it out," she said in an Instagram Story video. "That makes me sick."
For dramatic effect, The Real Housewives of New York City alum looked directly into the camera and said: "Go behind your washer, you may never come back."
The first item Bethenny was able to recover was a t-shirt from her Skinnygirl line. "Great way to treat your brand," Bethenny quipped. "There's one Skinnygirl t-shirt on sale!"
While Bethenny noted there was "no money back there," she did find a broken hanger next. As she pulled it out from behind the machine, her daughter, Bryn, admitted: "I think I might have broke that."
As she kept trying to pull up various items with the tongs, Bethenny joked: "It's like the claw machine at the freakin' arcade."
Still, she continued on. While noting "a woman's work is never done," she pulled up what she described to Bryn as a "mesh bag for if you want to wash your lingerie," to which the 10-year-old replied, "It looks like the pinny they make us use in P.E."
Throughout the frustrating task, the mother-daughter duo kept their sense of humor. While Bethenny jokingly told Bryn that she was "going to barbecue something for you with these tongs later," Bryn got in a joke of her own when she asked her mom if the Ziploc bag she found behind the machine had any sandwiches in it.
Finally, Bethenny had recovered all but one item. "Oh, directions! To what?" she said of the piece of paper on the floor. "I'm leaving the directions. I'm done."
While Bethenny took a moment to breathe, Bryn wasn't quite convinced they should leave the paper behind, telling her mom: "It could be the directions of how to win in life."
