Take a Good Look at Tinsley Mortimer's Legendary, $40,000 Wallpaper
The Real Housewives of New York City cast member dished about her insanely lavish home splurge on WWHL.
Before the Chicago apartment with staggering views, and before the hotel digs that kept her flush with room service, Tinsley Mortimer lived in a terribly posh co-op on the Upper East Side. The home she shared with her ex-husband, Topper Mortimer, was furbished with the most lavish decor. And when we say lavish, we mean that its dining room wallpaper alone cost $40,000.
When The Real Housewives of New York City bride-to-be appeared on Watch What Happens With Andy Cohen: @Home on May 7, she opened up about her storied splurge. "It was $40,000 for de Gournay wallpaper," Tinsley confirmed. "It's beautiful, though. It was silver and [had] painted birds on it."
And it can be yours, if you have about $2 million to spare. "[Topper] is actually selling that apartment, but the wallpaper is still there," Tinsley confirmed. She jokingly added: "I'm like, 'Can I take that [wallpaper?]'" We can see why she covets it. Take a good look at the ethereal glow that paper casts in Tinz's former living room:
