South Iceland resort Hotel Rangá was home base for The Real Housewives of Orange County on their epic Icelandic adventure. Located about an hour from Reykjavík Airport, Rangá is the only four-star resort in the country, a premiere destination for people looking to hike on the world-famous glaciers or gaze at the Northern Lights.
It's got the look of a rustic cabin on the outside, but the inside is more cosmopolitan.
The ladies seemed enamored with the different internationally themed suites in the 51-room hotel, including spaces dedicated to Japan, South Africa and North America (where Jake Gyllenhaal has stayed), but Lydia McLaughlin seemed to have the best score with suite number zero, the Arabian-themed Royal Suite. (She organized the trip, so it was only fair.)
Another standout is the Antarctica suite, a sleek and mod black and white space.
The hotel restaurant serves acclaimed fare such as smoked puffin and reindeer. It overlooks a river and features a bar with imaginative cocktails like the Long "Iceland" Iced Tea (Brennivín schnapps, Reyka vodka, gin, rum, orange liqueur, lime, and Coke).
A popular place for weddings, you're in striking distance from insanely gorgeous waterfalls that will make those matrimonial photos pop.
The resort was also quick to spring to action when the #RHOC ladies were in need, particularly when Vicki Gunvalson felt like she was about to have a heart attack. It's comforting to know, should you experience any malaise, Rangá will be there to help.
