Check out Gretchen Rossi's Festive, Halloween-Ready Front Porch
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum let her baby girl, Skylar, art direct their home's Halloween decorations.
Like many Bravolebs, Gretchen Rossi gets into the Halloween decorating spirit all month long, but this year was a little bit different because she now has an infant daughter, Skylar Gray Smiley, who was born in July. The Real Housewives of Orange County mom decided to give Skylar an important job for the holiday.
"OK, Skylar — you're in charge of creative direction," she said to her daughter in an adorable video posted to her Instagram Stories. "What are we thinking? What do you want? Do you like the pumpkins there? Do you like the skeletons there?" she asked the baby. "Finishing my front porch, which has taken me all month long. Normally, I do it at the very beginning but you have been distracting me, little lady! What do you think? What do you like? I think it’s coming together."
Skylar seemed to like how Gretchen has arranged everything. There's a cascade of pumpkins of various shapes, sizes, and colors, plus two giant pumpkins with the first initials of Gretchen and her man, Slade Smiley, that sit atop black vases with orange floral decorations. Perhaps the best touch is the two silver skeletons sitting in white chairs, with a giant silver spider pumpkin in between them. She's also got wireless speakers so she can play spooky sounds and tunes on Halloween night, which is a particularly clever touch.
Skylar aced her duties at her first job — the place looks great!
