Heather Dubrow Is Learning to Cook Amid the COVID-19 Outbreak: "Say a Little Prayer"
And, now we know what taco night looks like at Dubrow Chateau.
During the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Heather Dubrow is down for staying home — and up for a new challenge. The Real Housewives of Orange County alum has made it clear in the the past that cooking is not her thing, though she does make a mean potato pancake. But now that she's spending more time at Dubrow Chateau, Heather's recipe repertoire is about to expand.
In a March 16 Instagram post, The Dubrow Diet co-author tagged a couple of friends who had apparently challenged her to learn something new during the outbreak: "Challenge accepted! Guess what your girlfriend Heather is learning to do during the isolation? Yes, that's right, cooking. Say a little prayer."
Heather's first foray into chef life involved whipping up a Mexican-inspired feast for her family. With daughter Max as her sous-chef for the evening, the Orange County mom announced: "we're dong plant-based tacos ... and we're doing regular beef and then I made some fresh pico de gallo, I got two different kinds of guacamole going, I got the fixings over there, tortillas are about to be warmed up. Not horrible!"
After panning across the dinner table, where her family was assembled with their taco-laden plates, Heather asked: "What do you think? Are we going to survive?" Heather's doctor husband Terry put in his very scientific opinion on that, joking: "Tacos kill viruses." Sigh. If only.
