Heather Dubrow Has a Stunning, Light-Up Olive Tree In Her Courtyard
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum showed off the twinkling tree that had to be installed by crane.
Heather Dubrow's Crystal Cove home — you might know it as Dubrow Chateau — is the stuff of legends. The Real Housewives of Orange County alum has let us peek inside the California estate's chandelier-laden closet, glimpse its massive champagne wall, and take a virtual tour of its tricked-out movie theater. And now, we've gotten a good look at the light-up olive tree.
In a May 6 Instagram Story, the California mom led a tour of her resort-style, wraparound patio. There's a vegetable garden, an area for the dogs, a row of fruit trees, and quite the view below.
Aiming the camera down into her courtyard, Heather shared: "If you look this way, there's the olive tree that lights up." It's not little olive elves that light up the tree, in case you're wondering. "I put twinkle lights on the tree all year round," Heather has explained.
She's also found a way to maximize that twinkle. "I put a mirror on the wall [of the courtyard] so you get depth," Heather revealed. "The big custom mirror on the wall reflects the tree at night. It's so pretty!"
In the past, Heather has also shared how an olive tree came to be planted in her patio. The installation was no easy feat, and required a construction crew and a crane. But all the effort was undoubtedly worth it. It earned Heather these rarified bragging rights on Instagram back in 2015: "My olive tree got flown in to the courtyard of the basement in the new house!"
