Shannon Storms Beador has been spending time in Texas as she helps her daughter Sophie get settled at Baylor University. It's been a trip packed with "sweaty" work, which included adding custom decor to Sophie's new dorm room. But when she wasn't smoothing out the bedskirt or installing an organic headboard, The Real Housewives of Orange County mama found some time to sample the local eats in Waco.
After an "amazing lunch" at Magnolia Table — where Shannon Instagrammed some lavender-lemon donuts — the Orange County mama sipped on "much-needed" tequila at a Mexican spot. And before she headed back to California, the QVC mogul had one more dinner with her eldest daughter.
Sharing a snap of herself, Sophie, and a pal huddled together at a restaurant table, the Housewife wrote: "Farewell dinner at [DiamondBack's Waco] with Sophie." In her hashtags, Shannon spelled out "incredible food" and in her Stories, she brought the receipts.
Filming a basket filled with fluffy bread and thick slabs of butter, she said: "Are you kidding me? A popover that, yes, I'm going to dive into." Meanwhile, the photo on Shannon's feed offered a tempting peek at Sophie's steakhouse-style salmon.
But even if the eats were on-point, the night was bittersweet. Dropping a tearful emoji into her post, Shannon added another hashtag that read: "going to miss her beyond."
Sophie initially found out about her college acceptance back in November, and Shannon celebrated with a sweet Instagram post. "So proud of my little girl," she wrote back then. "I can’t wait to watch you make your dreams come true [Sophie.]"
