Braunwyn Windham-Burke Rushed to Defend Her Mother After a "Horrible" and "Scary" Restaurant Experience
"Dr. Deb" shared her disturbing experience — and her daughter's "awesome" reaction — on Instagram Stories.
Braunwyn Windham-Burke's mother, Dr. Deb, is reeling after a bizarre experience at a local Mexican restaurant. It started innocently enough: The Real Housewives of Orange County grandmother hit up a Rancho Mirage spot called Las Casuelas Nuevas with her hubby. Before all the drama went down, she happily announced: "We're gonna get us some tacos, and I'm gonna do like the Housewives do and get a skinny margarita." However, things quickly took a turn.
In ensuring Instagram posts, Dr. Deb showed a video of a man swearing at her, calling her intoxicated, and telling her she looked "stupid" in her "little f--king hat." Over the footage of the harassment, she wrote, in part: "This was a horrifying dinner with two men threatening me ... It was scary."
Later, Deb came back to explain in more detail what had happened, from her perspective. The doc shared that she tried to enter the restaurant with some water in a Yeti, as she doesn't like to use plastic, but was asked to pour it out. She complied.
Then, as she was getting ready to pay the check while her husband took a call outside, "the waiter slash guy in the red shirt said, 'I want to see what's in that thermos of yours." Things escalated when the doctor told him he couldn't see her thermos, but she'd like to pay the check and leave.
Then, another man approached who said he worked at the restaurant. He slung insults at Deb, insisted that she was intoxicated, and then ran after her into the parking lot when she tried to leave after feeling increasingly threatened.
Later, the doc reappeared and said: "I just got the most awesome phone call from my daughter Braunwyn. Yes! Woman power! She said she called Las Cansuelas ... and spoke to the guy and he denied that it was someone who worked there, it must have been a customer. And, whatever. All I know is I'm siccing Kelly [Dodd] on 'em."
That's how you take 'em down, Dr. Deb!
