Heather Dubrow Calls "Bullsh--" on Packaged Food Calorie Counts
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum and Dubrow Diet author has her doubts.
As co-author of one of the hottest diet books in the county, Heather Dubrow knows a thing or two about calorie counts. So when a package of brightly colored candy makes a claim that she finds dubious, The Real Housewives of Orange County alum is quick to call it out.
In a recent Instagram Story, Heather — who had spent the day at Lego Land with her daughter — showed off the packaging for some gummy candies called Darlin Marlins.
"18 pieces for 110 calories?!?! I call [bullsh--!]," The Dubrow Diet author wrote. But, what can you do? We would imagine there's not too much in the way of celery juice and leafy kale salads at Lego Land.
In her next post, Heather wrote: "Eating them anyway," with two cry-laughing emoji. Listen, the candies can't be worse for you than apples microwaved with soda pop, and Heather has survived that!
Of course, these days the Orange County mama follows a clean diet that includes intermittent fasting (or "interval eating," as Heather prefers to say.) And she does allow herself to indulge in some well-deserved splurges every now and again, whether that means chomping on some Darlin Marlins or treating herself to vegan coffee cake for her big birthday. (OK, fine, there might have been some even more decadent cake too — when can you cheat if not your big 5-0?!)
