Bravotv.com: What were your thoughts when you arrived at Candiace's wedding and didn't see Sherman there?
Karen Huger: When I arrived at the wedding and didn't see Sherman, my first thought was this can't be good. However, my priorities were clear that day. This was Candiace's wedding day and I was there to support her. There is a proper place and a time for everything. Finding out where this man, that Gizelle supposedly just completed couples counseling with, can wait until another day.
Bravotv.com: It was adorable to watch you and Ray "dating" and to hear you say you're "ready for love". How does it feel to be in such a great place with Ray?
KH: Love was in the air at Candiace's wedding, it was contagious. This was Raymond's and my first date since the loss of my parents. It's exactly what we needed. Witnessing their wedding ceremony reminded me of our wedding day and the commitment we made to love and cherish one another twenty three years ago. Let's just say our date continued long after we left the ceremony.
Bravotv.com: Was it uncomfortable sitting next to Gizelle during the ceremony?
KH: I was spirited away with the beautiful wedding ceremony I was witnessing. I was neither concerned nor bothered with where she was sitting. This was Candiace's day, PERIOD.
Bravotv.com: Were you surprised Gizelle came up to you at the reception? What was running through your head?
KH: I wasn't surprised that Gizelle approached me at the reception. Gizelle was going up to everyone at the wedding trying to make amends for her past and present ill behavior. Clearly, as Gizelle indicated she had been moved by the libations she'd consumed that day. I'm thinking, she should finish enjoying the wedding, sleep it off, and we should revisit this conversation another day.
Bravotv.com: What did you think of Candiace's big day? And her song?
KH: Candiace's wedding was elegant, simply beautiful. I loved it when Candiace sang to Chris, the song and her amazing talent is everything!
