Candiace Dillard Bassett Has Big Plans for the Holiday Decor at Her New $1M House

Summer is officially over at Candiace Dillard Bassett's house. 

"I'm freaking out because on September 1st, I was like, 'Oh, crap. I have not put out any pumpkin stuff yet,'" Candiace shared on the September 4 episode of The Daily Dish podcast. "So now I'm like in a hurry to go to HomeGoods and buy 37 pumpkin things that I don't need to put on my dining room table."

Although Candiace moved into her $1.1 million house in October of last year, she wasn't able to decorate the 10,500-square-foot abode for fall. "It wasn't the same, because it was boxes everywhere, we were moving, we weren't settled, we didn't have any furniture because we left all of our furniture in the townhome," she explained. "I had to buy all new everything... so this is the first official fall in the house because we have most of our furniture here and it feels like a home."

While she's just starting to decorate for fall, Candiace is already thinking about her December decor as well. "I'm excited to like do the holidays in the new house," she said. "I'm about to have a 24-foot tree...I've already spied the one that I want. I'm actually gonna have three trees, two on this main level. So we're gonna have one in the two-story living room. I also have a two-story foyer, I'm gonna have another really tall tree in the foyer where the staircase is. Then I'm gonna have one upstairs in the window upstairs and we'll have one in the basement as well."
