As candles continued to be a burning topic on Season 6 of The Real Housewives of Potomac, Andy Cohen put it best when he said on a 2021 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, “I have literally never thought about wicks this much in my life, and I can’t get enough, frankly.”

Well, more than a year later, the candle conversation hasn’t exactly died down. When Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon appeared on the December 18 episode of WWHL, the titular host asked for their honest takes on Karen Huger’s La’ Dame three-wick and Dr. Wendy Osefo’s one-wick from her Onyi Home Essentials line.

During a game, Andy asked, “Whose candle smells better, Karen’s or Wendy’s?” The jury was split: While Gizelle said Karen’s, Robyn declared it was Wendy’s.

During Season 6 of RHOP, Wendy revealed she was launching a candle for Onyi Home Essentials and Karen announced she was expanding La’ Dame with a three-wick candle. During one episode, Karen explained what she felt was the “little difference” between their products. “The La’ Dame candle is a three-wick candle, and hers is a one-wick candle. So mine can cover the area of a larger space, if you will,” she said, later adding in an Instagram post, “This is a [multi-billion] dollar industry; there is room at the table for all of us.”
