Is Gizelle Bryant's Lengthy Home Renovation "Another Chateau Shereé"?
After a WWHL viewer compared Gizelle's years-long house renovation to Shereé Whitfield's, the RHOP cast member set the record straight.
Real Housewives are known to live in incredibly stunning homes, but some buzzed-about properties have taken just a bit longer to complete than others. Shereé Whitfield and Gizelle Bryant know this all too well. While it took years (and years) for The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum to build her iconic Chateau Shereé, The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member is currently working on her own extensive home renovation. However, according to Gizelle, the two experiences aren't exactly similar.
On Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen's October 3 episode, the titular host read a viewer's question, "Is Hotel Gizelle becoming another Chateau Shereé?" Gizelle quickly said, "No," and explained her response. "I actually live in my house, and it's 95 percent done," she said. "No shade to Shereé, I love Shereé." When Andy noted, "Shereé's house now is quite beautiful," Gizelle agreed, calling the abode "amazing."
On RHOP's September 26 episode, Gizelle opened up about her ongoing renovation. "Hotel Gizelle is not done. The West Wing is, but my entryway, it's not done," she said. "It's gonna be amazing one day, my beautiful chandelier in the middle, black and white floors. Just not today." Later, she added, "This whole renovation has taken way longer than I thought."
Gizelle excitedly showed BravoTV.com the newly completed West Wing earlier this year. After a delayed renovation, the space now includes an "amazing" bedroom, a bathroom that Gizelle "absolutely [loves]," and a "spectacular" upstairs glam room/closet that is particularly special to Gizelle. As she explained, "Once I go upstairs, I never want to leave."
