Karen Huger Just Revealed Some BIG News About La’Dame
The Real Housewives of Potomac: Karen’s Grande Dame Reunion cast member announced her next venture for La’Dame, and it’s an exciting one for beauty lovers.
Breaking news from the world of La'Dame: There's an exciting new product in the works. Karen Huger spoke with BravoTV.com about her upcoming launch, and this time it's less about the wicks and more about the wisps.
"La'Dame is growing," The Real Housewives of Potomac: Karen's Grande Dame Reunion cast member shared. (Tune in to Part 2 on Sunday, April 24, at 8/7c.) "We've got lashes coming out... And I have to say, I love my lash line that's coming out."
The beauty category, of course, is nothing new to the entrepreneur, who previously released a fragrance and a wig line. But the inspiration behind this latest endeavor has deep roots in Karen's family history.
"I love a good pair of lashes," she explained. "I think women feel that we have to have full-fledged makeup on every day. We don't. If you have lip gloss and lashes, you're done for the day. The lashes wake up your eyes. That's the window to your soul." She shared that this emphasis on a pared-back beauty look is a lesson she learned from her late mother, Georgia Raines Wooden. "My mother taught me simple elegance and not to scream beauty when you come to the room. Not to scream fragrance... And that's what I've done through the years."
Karen's earlier La'Dame endeavors have been hot topics on previous seasons of The Real Housewives of Potomac. In Season 6, Karen and her pal Wendy Osefo were simultaneously launching candle lines, and it ignited a season-long debate about whether three wicks are better than one. Years prior, Karen's castmates doubted whether her fragrance line would ever come to fruition. But Karen had the last laugh when she officially announced her perfume had arrived at Bloomingdales.com in 2018. The department store still carries her fragrance — as well as her three-wick candle — today.
