The Potomac Housewives Explain Why They Never Let Drama Get in the Way of Eating

The Real Housewives of Potomac cast members hilariously opened up about prioritizing food over fights.

By Abby Feiner

As Mia Thornton filmed her debut season of The Real Housewives of Potomac, she learned an important lesson. "What I did notice is every time we sit down to eat, we're... about to fight," Mia said in The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 6 After Show video above. "If we're eating, we're about to fight."

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Potomac on Bravo on Sunday, October 6 at 8/7c and next day on  Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app

Case in point: the show's August 28 episode when, amid a drama-filled evening, Gizelle Bryant went to the door to get the group's dinner delivery. "The food is here," she said. "I'm gonna eat."

In the video above, Gizelle laughed about the moment, explaining, "At that point, I was hungry. I had had too much to drink. I'm hungry."

As RHOP viewers are well aware, that was just one of many examples of Gizelle prioritizing a meal over hashing out an argument. "One thing I do enjoy about Gizelle: The girl can eat," Karen Huger said. "And food is so important to her that it is comical."

As Gizelle was quick to point out, she's not alone. "We can be angry, we can have drama, but we are all greedy bitches, OK?" she said. "So when the food comes, drama be gone. We need to eat."

The rest of the cast members agreed. "Fight to feast is something we do very well. Listen, we're not gonna starve. We have to have the energy to fight," Karen said, while Robyn Dixon added, "If you want us to continue to fight, we gotta eat to fuel our bodies. Like, we have to eat."
