Following Dana Cowin's exit as editor-in-chief of Food & Wine magazine, industry veteran Nilou Motamed will be taking over the position. She made the announcement on her Instagram account on Tuesday, writing, "Beyond thrilled to be named the Editor of @foodandwine—so happy to join the amazing F&W team and so excited for what’s ahead!"

Nilou certainly has the right resume for the job. Prior to joining Food & Wine, she was editor-in-chief of Epicurious, the director of inspiration at Conrad Hotels and Resorts, and served as the features director for Travel + Leisure. She'll kick off her new gig on March 14. "I'm thrilled to be joining such a storied and pioneering brand. Food & Wine has been a groundbreaker for nearly 40 years, and its mission has never been more relevant than it is today," Nilou added in a statement. "I look forward to working with the talented F&W team and building on the brand's remarkable legacy, as we continue to inspire and inform our devoted audience and engage a new generation of food and wine lovers."

And, she's already got the staff buzzing about her imminent arrival. Top Chef judge and Food & Wine's special projects manager, Gail Simmons, congratulated her new boss. "Couldn't be more excited to welcome our (brilliant, talented, accomplished, dazzling) new Editor-in-Chief @niloumotamed to the @foodandwine family!" she wrote on Instagram.
