On February 20, Padma Lakshmi took to Instagram to share a heartfelt tribute to her daughter Krishna, who was celebrating her birthday. "11 years ago I gave birth to you and my life completely changed for the better," the Top Chef host wrote.

Her post also included a carrousel of photos that showed her little one evolving from a cuddly baby to a beautiful young woman — and in Padma's Stories, she showed Krishna in real time, as a spirited birthday girl.

Tagging food artist and gluten-free baker Lani Halliday, Padma showed her 11-year-old holding a big slice of birthday cake. With a red-velvet interior, the confection was slicked with thick white frosting, and it had pink, purple, and blue stars running along the sides.

The top of the cake had more jubilant decorations, including frosted rosettes doused in star-shaped sprinkles. And at the center of the custom dessert, a hot-pink message spelled out "happy birthday Krishna."
