Top Chef Winner Brooke Williamson Recalls Her Most Awkward Encounter After the Show Made Her Famous
The Season 14 winner shared an eyebrow-raising story with the Potash twins on Bravo's Beats + Bites.
Brooke Williamson won Season 14 of Bravo's Top Chef — and she recently took some time to reflect on a few unexpected (and unwelcome) moments that came after the show led to some newfound fame. Sitting down with the jazz-playing foodie twins Ezra and Adeev Potash on the new Bravo digital series Beats + Bites with the Potash Twins, Brooke had to cringe remembering one really awkward encounter in particular that happened while on a shoot in Mexico following her win in the competition.
"Almost completely naked and getting a spray tan and the woman just stopped and said, 'I just realized who you are!'" she told the Potash twins, along with musician Cody Johns and friend Shirley Chung over pretzels and crab claws at Playa Provisions, one of the seven restaurants she owns with her husband Nick. "Like, right now? She was like, 'Oh my God, can I get a picture with you?' And I was like, "Can we finish doing what we're doing?"
Uh... awkward indeed. But we're guessing that sweet victory is worth getting recognized by adoring fans in even the most inconvenient of scenarios.
