Tom Colicchio Does This Charming Thing Behind the Scenes on the Top Chef Set
A Bravo exec spilled the endearing details about Tom's behind-the-scenes hobby.
Tom Colicchio has already admitted that the upcoming 16th season of Bravo's Top Chef, which takes place in Kentucky, is one of his all-time favorites, all before viewers have even seen the first episode (which airs on December 6 at 9/8c). So why is he such a fan of Season 16? So far, we know that this season has given the show its very own Maker's Mark Top Chef Private Select Bourbon, which will soon be available in limited quantities, and that visiting the Kentucky distillery was "a real joy" for Tom.
But what else kept Tom so happy while filming this time? One Bravo exec shared that Tom finds time for his other passion while on set.
"Probably people don’t necessarily know this about Tom but... when he comes to a city to do Top Chef he brings his guitar, he likes to hang out and play guitar in the evening and sing," Top Chef producer/director Dan Cutforth told The Feast. "He’s a very kind of artistic person when he’s not showing his artistry in the kitchen."
Playing music provides a release from the kitchen for Tom, who just launched his own line of pro-quality affordable cookware. But where's that Top Chef album? We'll just have to wait for Top Chef Season 16 in Kentucky, which premieres on Bravo on December 6 at 9/8c.
