Plot Twist: Kylie Jenner Is Actually "Terrified" of Butterflies

The makeup mogul admitted as much in her 2017 series Life of Kylie.

Kylie Jenner debuted her new daughter Stormi Webster on February 4, three days after she was born, with a sweet 11-plus minute video called "To Our Daughter." Stormi's name was still unknown at that point and fans were speculating that she and rapper beau Travis Scott would name her Butterfly or some variant that had to do with butterflies. They had both made multiple butterfly references over the last few months on social media, and Travis even released a popular song last summer called "Butterfly Effect."

But an eagle-eye at US Weekly recalled that Kylie admitted that she's scared of butterflies during a trip to the London Zoo on her 2017 miniseries Life of Kylie. And you can see it in this clip.

“It’s kind of just ironic because I’m terrified, terrified of butterflies," she said in the clip. "All butterflies. This is how I think of them, cut the wings off and if you just look at their bodies, they’re not that pretty. It’s literally a bug.”

Perhaps the heavy butterfly motif in their lives now is an attempt to work through her fears and fly away into a more positive space with them.
